The Short Circuit 40th Anniversary and Astoria Film Celebration is produced by Thames Con events, in association with Black Ink Productions, The Oregon Film Museum and the Short Circuit House and offically licensed by Sony Pictures Entertainment.

The Short Circuit 40th Anniversary is officially licensed by Sony Pictures Entertainment. The parent Company of Columbia Pictures. Sony is an entertainment company that produces, acquires, and distributes filmed entertainment (theatrical motion pictures, television programs, and recorded videos) through multiple platforms.

Founded in 2017, Thames Con is an independent events management company, specialising in officially licensed fan conventions. It sets itself apart by working closely with its partners, judiciously selecting locations, attractions and participants that are embedded in the DNA of the intellectual property. Thames Con strives to provide authentic and unforgettable experiences for fans with unique activities, cast and crew reunions and interactive workshops.

A division of Sony Music Entertainment, Black Ink Presents specializes in turn-key live-to-film concert productions and immersive experiences. Their productions include The Nightmare Before Christmas In Concert, Labyrinth In Concert, Evil Dead In Concert, Joe Hisaishi Symphonic Concert, Rocketman In Concert, La La Land In Concert, and multiple Disney+ concert specials.

the short circuit house

The 'Short Circuit House' is a beautiful historic home in the heart of Astoria Oregon that was used as the filming location for Stephanie Specks home in the 1986 film. The home has been lovely restored by Oregon Film ambassador and movie enthusiast Richard Bates and filled with movie memorabilia. Richard is a curator of Astoria film history and a passionate Short Circuit fan. The House currently operates as an AIR BNB and one of venues for the Short Circuit 40th.

the oregon film museum

Housed in the old Clatsop County Jail, a working jail from 1914 through 1976, the Oregon film museum is committed to preserving the legacy of Oregon film with an exciting expansion project! Funds are currently being raised to build a brand new, much larger dediacted film museum which will feature exhibitions, educational workshops, film screenings, networking events and much more!
