We have a fantastic array of panel talks happening on Saturday and Sunday at the Liberty Theatre. Panel talks are a moderator discussions with VIP Guests.
Workshops
Workshops or Masterclasses as some may call them, are also being held at the Liberty Theatre, in the Macintosh ballroom (upstairs). A workshop/masterclass is an intimate and focused, high-level session led by an industry expert. It offers unique insights, behind-the-scenes knowledge, and real-world experience, often including demonstrations, discussion, and audience participation. This is a very rare and unique opportunity to learn from the best of the best!

RISE OF THE ROBOTS with INPUT INC.
Join the impressive team from Input Inc, for an up close look at some of the parts and mechanisms that make up OpenSAINT, the full scale replica of the Nova robots in Short Circuit. See how “various wires and servo mechanisms” take this from a collection of parts to an interactive marvel!
Attendees will receive a diagram of the various components, get hands-on with parts and control systems, and come away with a basic understanding of RC control mechanisms that make up special effects props and hobby robots like their incredible Johnny 5s!
character creation with Tim Blaney
Tim has created many characters over the years, including our favourite - Johnny 5! This hybrid workshops covers voice acting. character performance and maybe even a little bit of puppetry.
Script Pet Peeves with S.S Wilson
Who better to teach you script writing skills than the writer of Short Circuit?! Join in with this fun and insightful masterclass, "SS Wilson's script pet peeves: fix bad exposition and don't force characters to do stupid things!"

Having produced studio movies/tv and Indie films, his insight will shed a light on how to navigate the new normal.
